Klip-BILT II shelving is industrial grade adjustable steel shelving constructed as a structurally independent unit consisting of posts, shelves, back and side "x" bracing, and/or back and side panels, and required hardware. A variety of accessories can be added to the basic unit to suit particular storage requirements. Standard nominal unit sizes are: 36", 42", or 48" wide by 12", 18", 24", 30", or 36" deep in heights of 3'-4", 6'-1", 7'-1", 8'-1", 9-'1", or 10'-1". Other sizes are available.

COMPONENT PARTS

OFFSET ANGLE POST - to be 13 Ga. steel formed into an angle with a 1" front face flange and a 2-1/16" side flange which has a channel shaped offset for added strength. Both flanges to be punched with 5/16" dia. holes on 1-1/2" centers for attaching away braces, back/side panels, and certain accessories. The 2-1/16" flanges to be punched with 1/2" x 7/16" rectangular slots on 1-1/2" centers to accept shelf clips.

STRONG BOX POST - to be 13 Ga. steel formed into a tubular shape 3/4" wide x 2-1/16" deep. The 2-1/16" flanges to be offset at the back on both sides to form a closed tubular shape. The 3/4" face flange to be free of punching. The 2-1/16" flanges to be punched with 5/16" dia. holes on centers for attaching sway braces, side panels, and certain accessories. The 2-1/16" side flanges to also be punched with 1/2" x 7/16" rectangular slots on 1-1/2" centers to accept shelf clips.

SHELF - TYPE A - to be 18 Ga. steel with all four sides flanged 1-1/8" at 90 degrees. Front and back to have 9/16" return flanges at 115 degrees. Both sides to have a 5/8" return flanges at 90 degrees. Shelf corners to be closed, overlapped, and welded. Front and back flange to be punched for attaching reinforcing bars, back panels, and certain accessories. Side flanges to be punched at the corners for use when shelves are bolted to the posts. Top surface of shelf to be punched with two rows of 5/16" dia. holes for attaching shelf dividers.

SHELF - TYPE A1 - same as Type A shelf except front flange is reinforced with a 11 Ga. x 16/16" flat bar. The bar is bolted to the front shelf flange in the field.

SHELF - TYPE B - same as Type A shelf except front and back flange is reinforced with a 11 Ga. x 15/16" flat bar. Bars may be crimped or bolted to the shelf face flanges.

SHELF - TYPE C - same as Type B shelf with additional reinforcement consisting of side shelf supports, and center shelf reinforcing channels.

SHELF REINFORCING BAR - to be 11 Ga. x 15/16" flat bar with holes at each end and the center for bolting to the shelf face flanges.

SIDE SHELF SUPPORT - to be 13 Ga. steel formed "U" shaped channel, 2-3/4" high. Top return flange to be 1-5/8" at 90 degrees. Bottom return flange to be 1/2" at 90 degrees. Side flange to have two integral tabs at each end for attaching to posts.

SHELF CLIP - to be one-piece 13 Ga. steel flanged around the edges for added strength and formed with two integral tabs to engage slots in the posts. Clips to be independent of clips in adjoining units to provide fully independent shelf adjustability.

SIDE/BACK "X" BRACE - FLAT END - to be 12 Ga. steel 3/4" wide. Braced to be punched at each end for bolting to posts and at the center for bolting together in pairs.

BACK "X" BRACE - UNIVERSAL - to be 12 Ga. steel 3/4" wide and flanged at each end. Braces to be punched at each end for bolting to posts and at the center for bolting together in pairs.

BACK PANEL - to be 24 Ga. flat steel sheets punched with 5/16" dia. holes on 1-1/2" centers on both edges for bolting to posts and at the center for attaching to shelves.

SIDE PANEL - to be 24 Ga. flat steel sheets punched with 5/16" dia. holes on 1-1/2" centers on both edges for bolting to posts.

UNIVERSAL FOOT PLATE - to be 11 Ga. steel 2-7/8" x 4-1/16" punched with two holes to accept 1/2" dia. floor anchors. Foot plate to be formed with an integral tab for attaching to posts.

ACCESSORIES

SHELF DIVIDER - to be 22 Ga. steel. Top and bottom flanged 5/8" at 90 degrees and punched for attaching to shelves. Front and back edge to have a 5/16" dia. round bead.

SLIDING DIVIDER - to be 20 Ga. steel. Front face to be 3" x 1-1/4" with a 3/8" return flange. The base to be 3" wide x the depth of the shelf with a 1/2" flange at the rear. The vertical edge to rise then round into a 30 degree slope to the top.

BASE FRONT - to be 20 Ga. steel with a 2-7/8" high face. The bottom to be flanged 7/16" with a return flanged of 11/32" at 90 degrees. The top flange to be formed at an angle to rest under the flange of the shelf. Ends to have tabs to retain the base front in place.

BIN FRONT - to be 18 Ga. steel with a 3" high face with 1/2" flange and 15/32" return flange at the top at 90 degrees. Sides to be flanged and punched for bolting to posts.

LABEL HOLDER - to be clear plastic, 7/8" high formed into a "C" shape to provide for insertion and retention of labels. To be punched at both ends and the center for attaching to the face flange of shelves.

OTHER

FINISH - All non-hardware parts are phosphatized and finished with one coat of baked-on enamel. Bolts, nuts, and other hardware items (i.e. shelf clips, foot plates) are zinc plated.
