Speedi-Bilt® shelving consists of two basic components: post and beams. Beams provide support for shelf surfaces such as particle board, steel shelves, wire decks, etc. Rivets in beams engage keyholes slots in post to form a rigid unit without the need for bolts, nuts, or bracing. Normal unit widths and depths range from 12" thru 96". Heights can exceed 15'. Actual width and depth is nominal plus 1/2". Accessory items are available.

COMPONENT PARTS

ANGLE POST - 1-1/2" x 1-1/2" x 14 gauge steel. Each leg to be punched with keyholes slots on 1-1/2" vertical centers.

SUPER DUTY ANGLE POST - 1-7/8" x 1-7/8" x 14 gauge steel. Each leg to be punched with keyholes slots on 1-1/2" vertical centers.

TEE POST - 3" X 1-1/2" X 14 gauge steel. "T" shape. Front flanges to be 1-3/8" with 1/4" space between flanges. Side flanges to be 1-1/2". All flanges to be punched with keyholes slots on 1-1/2" vertical centers.

SINGLE RIVET BEAM - Front vertical face to 31/32" with a 1" return flange. The return flange to be mitered at each end to provide clearance between left-to-right and front-to-back beams. Return flange provides support for shelf surface. Each end of face flange to have one rivet for attaching to keyholes slots in the posts.

DOUBLE RIVET BEAM - Front vertical face to 2 11/16" with a 1-3/32" return flange. Top flange to be mitered at each end to provide clearance between left-to-right and front-to-back beams. Return flange provides support for shelf surface. Each end of face flange to have two rivets on 1-1/2" centers for attaching to keyholes slots in the posts. Beams 36"thru 96" to have two holes at midpoint for attaching support ties. Beams 60" thru 96" to have additional sets of holes at the quarter points for attaching support ties.

DOUBLE RIVET CHANNEL BEAMS - Front vertical face to 2 11/16" with a 1-3/32" return flange. Top and bottom flange to be mitered at each end to provide clearance between left-to-right and front-to-back beams. Return flange provides support for shelf surface. Each end of face flange to have two rivets on 1-1/2" centers for attaching to keyholes slots in the posts. Beams 36"thru 96" to have two holes at midpoint for attaching support ties. Beams 60" thru 96" to have additional sets of holes at the quarter points for attaching support ties.

ACCESSORIES

STEEL SHELF SURFACE - 18 to 22 gauge steel box shelf design formed 1-1/8" high with return flanges on all four corners. Used individually without hardware or bolted together in multiples to provide a smooth shelf surface when particle board is not acceptable.

TIRE SUPPORT BEAM - Same as double rivet beam except top flange is "over-broke". Top flange provides a surface to support tires.

SUPPORT TIES - 14 gauge steel angle shape with two holes for attaching to double rivet beams or double rivet channels with bolts and nuts. Top/bottom flanges to be notched to fit flush with top of beams.

WALL TIE - Same as standard support tie except one end flange to have two rivets for attaching to keyholes slots in the posts.

DOUBLE TIE - Same as a standard support tie except both end flanges to have two rivets for attaching to keyholes slots in the posts.

TIE PLATE - 14 gauge steel plate with four rivets for attaching to keyhole slots of adjoining angle post. Spaces the post 1/4" apart.

FOOT PLATE - 14 gauge steel with two keyholes to align with and attach to the keyholes in the posts with bolts and nuts. The base will have two 9/16" holes for floor anchors.

MEZZANINE COMPONENTS

DECK SUPPORT CHANNEL - 11 gauge steel with 3" face flange, 2" top flange to support and retain mezzanine floor grating. Each end of face flange will have two rivets for attaching to keyhole slots in the post.

AISLE SPACERS - Same as a standard support tie except both end flanges to have two rivets for attaching to keyholes slots in the posts.

CROSS AISLE SUPPORT - 11 gauge steel "U" shaped channel. Both ends to be flanged and have two rivets for attaching to keyhole slots in the post, used to support catwalk mezzanine floor grating.
